Blessed by Him

My daughter had the honor and privilege to play Mary in our Bethlehem Revisited this weekend past. She was beautiful and reverently played her part. I am so blessed. :) God is good in so many ways. I am keenly aware of my failings and yet God is faithful to His Word as in Psalm 112:1-2.

"Praise the LORD! How blessed is the man who fears the LORD,
Who greatly delights in His commandments.
His descendants will be mighty on earth;
The generation of the upright will be blessed."

I am continually awed by the giftings and blessings the Lord has bestowed on our children. Take a moment and thank Him, Who is Worthy, for the blessings he has given your families.

Our First Snow!!!

Yay!! We had snow!!!! Granted it was a little and is now melted (sniff, sniff), but wasn't it pretty coming down. Traveling this morning, I felt like I was in one of those little shake-up snow globes. All that was missing was the "Let it Snow" song. Thank you Lord for the beautiful gift! :)

First thoughts......

This is the day the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24

Even as I begin this long awaited moment of journaling our life, I realize it has been a hard few weeks. Despite that, today, I can say I am thankful for what the Lord has done. It is easy to be discontent, way too easy. It's easy to look at everything that is wrong and allow my attitude to follow that downhill train. Today at church there were young people dancing, singing, and all-out praising the Lord. You see, God had rescued them from lives of addictions, promiscuity, broken homes, abuse and even homosexuality. They had a testimony of God's goodness, forgiveness and mercy. It was beautiful to see. Today, I rejoiced with them that indeed God IS good. Despite the hardships I am currently facing, I have the reminder in His Word that we ARE free.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.
Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves
be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Galatians 5:1

Our troubles need not imprison us, for he whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Let us NOT put on the yoke of slavery whether it be worry, discouragement or any other number of chains.

Now to him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Ephesians 3:20

May we rest in that. <><
